SPENCER TEAL | PASTOR
Spencer is the founding pastor of Red Stone Church in Johnson City, which he and his wife Nicole planted in 2013. Nicole is a beautiful gift of grace to his life and recently celebrated 15 years of marriage.
Spencer is a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ and is convinced of its transformation power on the souls of sinful man. Spencer’s been in ministry since 2001 and earned his Masters in Divinity from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
Spencer enjoys listening to new bands, watching Georgia football, cooking for Taco Tuesday, and competition. Yes, simple competition.
Spencer also enjoys playing in a fierce kickball league in his front yard. He competes against his 6 amazing children and is currently boasting a record of 1-14 (he is out numbered, don’t forget). Kennedy, McKibben, Arwyn, Oliver, Alistair, and Augustine delight his every day.
He longs to see the people of Johnson City believe in Christ Jesus and have their lives transformed by Him.
JERRY WILLIAMS | ELDER
Jerry is an elder at Red Stone Church (he's the taller & balder of the two current elders) and has served as Head of School for Providence Academy in Johnson City for the past 20 years. He and Cammy are celebrating 25 years of marriage this year. 25 years of bliss and not one argument yet. That last part is not exactly true, but they really have been wonderful years. They can't wait for the next 25!
Jerry and Cammy have 4 children, ranging in ages from 10 to 23: Caleb, Kyler, Kilby & Kolbi...and Cujo (not a child). Jerry's absolute favorite thing to do is to go out to eat or go to Pigeon Forge with the whole family, especially when the laughter raises to the level of almost getting them kicked out of a restaurant. His greatest challenge each day is to call his children by their correct names.
The Word of God has been used by the Lord to completely transform Jerry's life, so he's passionate about getting others to dig into the Word as well. He believes that if you'll dive into the Word in search of the Living Christ that He will be found and you'll never be the same.
Jerry is excited about all that the Lord is doing at Red Stone Church and believes that the Lord is going to raise up a generation of Christian leaders from this body of believers.
SAM ADAMS | CHILDREN'S MINISTER
Sam has been Red Stone's Children's Minister since October 2015. What he loves most about his job is helping to equip gospel presenters (amongst teachers, parents, and children). He's passionate about developing deep relationships with others and getting to know as many people as he can.
Sam really enjoys doing manly things, from applying musky beard oils into his luscious beard, to building things in woodworking projects. What Sam is lacking in height, he makes up for in personality. If he were able to sing, he would likely start a local folk band, but unfortunately his singing often drives people away. Thankfully though, he has a smile that warms the hearts of others and unites people together - or so he is told.
His lovely bride, Rachel, works alongside him in ministry with Red Stone kids as well as leading the church's hospitality ministry. He acknowledges that without her, he would not be half the man that he is. They've been married since July 2015 and are the proud parents of Fitz, a sheltie mix from a local animal shelter.
JUSTIN SEATON | MUSIC DIRECTOR
Justin serves as Red Stone’s Music Director. Born and raised in Johnson City, he moved back to Northeast Tennessee in 2010 after graduating from Samford University in Birmingham, Al. Shortly thereafter, he met his future wife Staci while helping out at a local camp. Staci bakes…a lot. Cakes, cookies, brownies…one of Justin’s favorite hobbies is eating said things.
He loves his wife, his family, playing music, playing tennis, working at The Firehouse (day-job), and seeing the lost become found through the power of the Gospel.
